Reasonable sized wrist-watch cell phone

Reasonable sized wrist-watch cell phone
Through the usage of bluetooth headsets, wrist watch phones are finally shrinking to a reasonable size. Well, not quite yet, but soon I am sure. These are still pretty big, but when you see the model at the end of the post, you’ll get a better idea about how smaller they are getting.

The Cetc operate in GSM networks, has bluetooth support, built in FM radio, MP3 and MP4 players, headset jack, microphone and speaker. When, or if, they do remove the mic/speaker it must shrink to an even more suitable size.

LG SH240 Phone with a Unique Human Feel Keypad

LG Electronics has released its latest SH240 phone featuring 3G HSDPA capability, in the Korean market.

However, the most unique feature of the SH240 phone is its keypad. LG claims that the keypad of the phone literally has a human skin feel. That simply means that whenever users will touch the keypad of the SH240 phone, they will feel as though they are touching a human skin. This unique keypad is made of a special silicon material.

Besides, the SH240 phone boasts multimedia features such as a 2MP camera, video call and MP3 playing capability. The phone also features connectivity options such as 3G, HSDPA and Bluetooth.

Also the phone is equipped with an external memory slot, subway map and dictionary.

LG’s SH240 phone will be available in Korea via SK Telecom. Korean buyers can purchase the phone for an approximate price of 400,000 KRW.
LG's Viewty was hard to miss at GSMA. Between the saturation bus ads and the creepy, surreal show stand, it was pretty obvious what LG wanted us all to write about. The phone itself looks like a camera, and has specifications that aren't normally seen on a phonecam. Five Megapixels, a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, ISO settings up to 800, manual focus (which cuts shutter lag times) and image stabilization. It also shoots video at an astonishing 120 frames per second.

Available in both black and silver, the body does feel a little lightweight and plasticky, and the colors on the LCD screen were a little washed out, especially compared to "real" cameras. But them, those real cameras don't make phone calls, don't upload to YouTube (in the brochure it's named YooTube) and they don't have touch screens with handwriting recognition or MP3 players. In all, it's a pretty good compromise.

S-Series Wooden Cellphone

We can see concept cell phones around the internet almost in a daily basis, mostly looking like something took directly from Star Trek. Actually, most of them seems to be just different parts of the Enterprise control board placed in a handset.

But some can still be noticed, like this one, the S-Series from the designer Simon Enever. It is a beautiful concept that uses noble wood and results in a stylish and elegant gadget

LG LX600 Clamshell Mobile Phone - QWERTY Keyboard

LG LX600: It sure looks convincing. The LX600 is actually a clamshell that opens up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Like the Blitz, the LX600 is a "dumb" phone made just for messaging. It also has external music player keys for the built-in music player, as well as a camera, but there doesn't seem to be too much information about the other features.

Initial Google gPhone Photos

These are the initial Google gPhone Photos hit the web. And more likely they can be fake. They can be real.... But to give the viewers a glimps of what it is all, here it is.

Initial Google gPhone Photos May be Fake

Here is a little about GPhone
Google Phone (or gPhone) is a potential mobile phone or smartphone speculated to be connected with search engine giant Google.

The speculation that Google would be entering the mobile phone market with a gPhone was first raised in December 2006 by writer Martha McKay in The Record. Since that time, reports from both the BBC and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) noted that Google wanted "Google search and Google applications on mobile, and it is working hard every day to deliver that." Further, it's now believed that Google is "showing the prototype to cellphone manufacturers and network operators as it continues to hone the technical specifications." As many as 30 prototype gPhones are reported to be operating "in the wild".

The French Luxury By MobiFrance - Eiffel Tower Concept Phone

MobiFrance has recently partnered up with Sony Ericsson to develop a concept cell called the French Luxury (FL). The FL is designed to commemorate France’s Independence Day by bearing a strong resemblance to the Eiffel Tower, the most recognizable French landmark.

The French Luxury By MobiFrance Eiffel Tower Concept Phone

The phone can stand on its end to resemble the Eiffel Tower, and is equipped with a full touchscreen. Unlike other touchscreen phones, the FL’s touchscreen has a somewhat curvaceous look to it.

Other features that we know about are the speakers on its sides, which you can see on this photo. You can also watch video and other multimedia functions. Another feature is the obligatory camera, which is a lot better than other cell phone cameras at 7.2 Megapixels.

http://img.xcitefun.net/users/2008/08/9828,xcitefun-eiffel-tower-2.jpg

So far, there is no word on a price or availability date for the FL. Considering that the French Independence Day is July 14, I’m guessing that a year is plenty of time to get it out for the 220th anniversary.

Sony Ericsson TM506 First T-Mobile - Mid-Range Media Phone

Sony Ericsson TM506 First T-Mobile: The clamshell is pitched as a fashion device but is also one of T-Mobile's few 3G phones, supporting faster UMTS data speeds and better call quality over the 1,700MHz band. Faster-still HSDPA access is also promised, though whether this applies to T-Mobile's network or only on the 2,100MHz band is unknown.

Sony Ericsson TM506 First TMobile MidRange Media Phone

Outside of its connection rates, the TM506 is considered a mid-range media phone with a two-megapixel camera, Sony Ericsson's normal media software suite and a Memory Stick Micro slot to hold content. Assisted GPS is built-in and can use TeleNav or similarly-designed services for its mapping.

Unusually for such a launch, neither Sony Ericsson nor T-Mobile has revealed a price for the handset, which goes on sale in early September with support for T-Mobile's MyFaves service.

LG KC910 Viewty 8 Megapixel CameraPhone - First Look Reviews

LG KC910 Viewty 8 Megapixel CameraPhone: The new device has both LG's highest-resolution camera at eight megapixels but is still thin enough at 14mm (0.55in) to fit comfortably in a pocket. The new camera sensor is also said to lose nothing in image quality over the Viewty with full speed, 30FPS 640x480 video capture, a special 120FPS slow-motion mode and an ISO 1600 light sensitivity comparable more to dedicated point-and-shoot cameras than cellphones.

The handset has the same three-inch, 400x240 LCD dimensions as the Viewty or Prada but also has a much faster Internet connection, adding both Wi-Fi as well as 3G celluar data support via HSDPA with up to 7.2Mbps speeds downstream. Bluetooth and a microSDHC slot are also built-in.

The KC910 launches in October and will support quad-band GSM, hinting at a possible release in North America rather than the Asian and European areas that limited the tri-band Prada and Viewty in the past.
